About me
I believe that we all are here on this planet with certain gifts. Certain aspects of who we are at our core that are meant to be discovered, honed, and honored. There is much to the experience of life that can keep us from remembering or embodying these parts of ourselves. Many paths that can take us further away from experiencing life how we desire to deep down. I believe that each of our lives presents us with series of opportunities to return to remembrance of who we are and what are hearts yearn for. A returning to our empowered, true selves.
Through my years of experience working in wilderness therapy, I have seen the impact that immersion in nature has on our body, minds, and spirits. How supportive and emotionally safe community can improve mental health. How the structured implementation of mindfulness practices can improve quality of life. How rites of passage and ceremony are powerful and impactful practices that used to be play a large role in our development as humans, and as men. How challenge and stepping into the unknown plays a vital role in growth.
In my own walk I have experienced disease. Experienced the fear losing quality of life. I have experienced trauma and hardship and the toll that that can take on one's body and mind over time. These things have also been catalysts for my own personal growth and evolution.
For many years I have prioritized and passionately immersed myself in countless books, various healing modalities, experimented with different diets, worked alongside many wonderful industry leading therapists who specialize with youth mental health, sought support and teachings from numerous healers and shamans, and have implemented certain self-care practices that have become an integral part of my life.
What my path of study and discovery in the world of healing, mindfulness, and therapy has taught me is that all of our bodies are different. All of us have our own pasts, programming, and needs. We all are unique and have our own paths to walk. We also all share certain commonalities with each other that go down to a fundamental level. Our bodies and nervous systems are all naturally trying to get back to a state of balance. We all desire love, a sense of purpose or value, and connection to others.
I am here to help your son along his path of discovery and empowerment. To help guide and nurture healthy coping habits, and to be a support to him along his own life journey.
